Unlike BioShock, in Infinite you do not play as a character devoid of any real personality. The protagonist Booker DeWitt has a voice, a philosophy and a mission to find a woman named Elizabeth. What’s striking about the first few hours of BioShock Infinite is how developer Irrational doesn’t weigh down pacing with an abundance of exposition. Instead, you learn about Booker and the floating city of Columbia he visits in a way that feels natural and makes sense within the fiction’s context.
