NOTES:
We only listed artists and bands that had references to their Indigenous ancestry in interviews, in their biographies, or on Wikipedia.

The principal member or lead singer of the group served as the qualifier for bands.

We didn't include the Red Hot Chilli Peppers (Anthony Keidis has Mohican ancestors), Chantal Kreviazuk (she has Métis ancestors), Sierra Noble (she's a member of the Aboriginal music community), but all three acts have quite a few fans on Facebook.
